We Started With a Simple Question

Back in 2018, we noticed something odd. Companies were spending months on manual testing while their competitors were shipping features weekly. Someone needed to change that.

That someone turned out to be us.

How This Actually Started

Three engineers walked into a coffee shop in Taipei. Sounds like the beginning of a bad joke, but that's genuinely how Advtechio began.

We'd all worked at different tech companies around Taiwan. And we'd all seen the same problem: testing was the bottleneck. Every single time. Teams would build amazing features, then spend weeks clicking through the same scenarios over and over.

One of us had been automating tests at night just to keep sane. Another had built a testing framework that her team actually liked using. The third had convinced his previous employer to try automated testing and cut their release cycle from six weeks to ten days.

So we thought: what if we just did this full-time? What if we helped other companies skip the part where they lose three months trying to figure out test automation?

Seven years later, we're still at it. Except now we've helped about 60 companies and we've learned a ridiculous amount about what actually works.

What Matters to Us

These aren't poster words. They're the principles we actually use when making decisions.

Honest About Limitations

Not every project needs automation. Sometimes manual testing makes more sense. We'll tell you when that's the case, even if it means walking away from a contract.

Learn in Public

When we mess up (and we do), we write about it. Our team shares what went wrong, what we learned, and how we fixed it. Because that's how everyone gets better.

Built for Real Use

We don't care how elegant the code is if your team can't maintain it. Every solution we build has to work for the people who'll actually use it daily.

Skills Transfer

We're not trying to make you dependent on us. Part of every project involves teaching your team how things work so they can handle it themselves eventually.

Context Matters

What works for a startup with three developers is different from what works for an enterprise with fifty. We actually take time to understand your situation before proposing anything.

Practical Over Perfect

A testing setup that covers 80% of critical paths and ships this month beats a perfect solution that takes six months to implement. We help you figure out that balance.

The People Behind the Work

Small team. Decent at what we do. Nobody here is a "testing guru" or "automation wizard." Just people who've spent years solving these specific problems.

Håkan Bergström

Technical Lead

Spent eight years breaking and fixing test frameworks before joining us. Still writes code daily because he can't help himself. Prefers terminal to GUI for everything, which drives the rest of us slightly crazy.

Seven Years in Brief

The highlights and low points. Mostly in order.

2018

Started Small

Three people, one shared office space in Zhongshan District. First client was a logistics company that needed help testing their route optimization software. We had no idea what we were doing with logistics. Figured it out.

2020

Pandemic Pivot

Like everyone else, we moved remote. Unlike everyone else, we decided to stay that way. Turned out our testing frameworks worked just as well from home. Client meetings over video calls were actually more efficient.

2022

Bigger Projects

Started working with financial services companies. Way more regulations. Way more documentation. Way more careful about security. Learned a lot about compliance requirements we didn't even know existed.

2024

Training Programs

Clients kept asking if we could teach their teams. So we started running workshops. Three-day intensive courses on test automation. First one had six people. By the end of the year, we'd trained over eighty developers across twelve companies.

2025

Still Going

Now we're working with about 20 active clients. Mix of ongoing projects and consulting work. Team has grown to nine people. Still learning new things every month about testing approaches we hadn't considered before.

What We're Good At

We help companies test their software faster without breaking things. That's the short version.

The longer version: we build test automation frameworks that your team can actually use. We help you figure out what to test, how to test it, and how to keep those tests running as your product changes.

We work mostly with companies in Taiwan's tech sector. E-commerce platforms, financial services apps, logistics systems. Places where bugs cost real money and manual testing takes too long.

Some teams need a complete testing setup from scratch. Others just need help fixing their existing tests that keep failing for no clear reason. Both are fine. We've done both many times.

We're not going to promise you'll never have bugs again. That's not realistic. But we can usually help you catch them earlier and fix them faster.

How We Actually Work

First, we spend time understanding what you're building and how your team operates. No point designing tests for a workflow that doesn't match your reality.

Then we usually do a pilot project. Something small enough to finish in a few weeks but substantial enough to show whether our approach makes sense for your situation.

If that goes well, we expand from there. Sometimes that means building out a full test suite. Sometimes it means training your team to handle most of it themselves with us available for the tricky parts.

We work remote but we're in Taiwan time zones. If you need us on-site occasionally for workshops or planning sessions, that works too. Most of our clients are in Taipei, Hsinchu, or Taichung, so getting to you isn't complicated.

Every couple weeks we'll have a review session where we show you what's working and what isn't. If something needs to change, we change it. No waiting until the end of a long contract to find out the tests don't match your needs.
